Investigating the cause of the two sisters' unusual deaths

Two children, aged 6 and 8, who are biological sisters in Tho Thanh commune, Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, died unexpectedly. The forensic agency of Thanh Hoa province police has examined the scene and clarified the cause of the incident.

Previously, at around 11pm on April 21, Tho Thanh commune leaders and commune police went to the family of Mr. D. (residing in village 1, Tho Thanh commune), the maternal grandparents of the two children mentioned above, to grasp information about the incident.

Police were present the night the incident occurred.

According to information from the family, at around 6:00 p.m. on April 21, two children (6 and 8 years old; 1 boy and 1 girl) showed signs of vomiting, convulsions, and foaming at the mouth. Immediately afterwards, the two children were taken by relatives to Thuong Xuan District General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to severe symptoms, the two children were later transferred to a provincial hospital for emergency treatment. At 10:00 p.m. the same day, the younger child died; at 3:00 a.m. on April 22, the older child also passed away.

It is known that the two children live with their grandparents, their parents both work far away.

Currently, the cause of the incident is being verified and clarified by Thanh Hoa Provincial Police.
