Investigation into suspected case of using mines to throw at people demanding money in Quang Ninh

On the afternoon of June 24, a representative of the Ha Lam Ward Police (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh ) confirmed the incident of two men demanding money being suspected of being thrown a mine at area 3 of Doi Cao Van Hoa.

Accordingly, two men (identity unknown) rode a motorbike to Mr. L's house (in area 3 of Doi Cao Van Hoa) with the intention of demanding money. Afterwards, the two sides had a conflict.

After leaving the house, the two men saw an object suspected to be a mine thrown from the second floor of Mr. L’s house towards where they were standing. The two men immediately left their motorbikes and ran away.

A few seconds later, there was a loud bang and the motorbike was damaged.

A source from VietNamNet reporter said that Mr. L. owes these people about 200 million. The police force has arrived to block off the scene and investigate the cause of the incident.

"There were no casualties in the incident. Ha Lam Ward Police have reported to Ha Long City Police to continue verifying, investigating and clarifying," said the leader of Ha Lam Ward Police.
