Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung inspected the project to stabilize residents in disaster areas in Muong Pon 2 village (site 2), Muong Pon commune.

The delegation inspected the project of resettlement of people in the disaster area at Muong Pon 2 village (site 2). The project covers an area of ​​over 1.8 hectares with the goal of resettling 27 households with the following items: Roads, electricity supply system, domestic water supply... The total investment is 11.5 billion VND from the central budget reserve fund and the Relief Fund of the Relief Mobilization Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien district (old); up to now, 18 households have come to live at the resettlement site.

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung requested relevant units and local authorities to speed up the progress of completing infrastructure, ensuring electricity, water, production land, etc. so that people can stabilize their lives and feel secure in working and producing.

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung inspected the project of embankment to protect production land, residential areas and regulate the flow from Muong Pon 1, 2 villages to Tin Toc village, invested by the Project Management Board of Agricultural Works and Rural Development, which started construction on October 1, 2025. The project aims to overcome landslides and damage caused by natural disasters, stabilize the flow, protect 90 households, 160 hectares of rice land, 2.5 hectares of aquaculture and technical infrastructure works in the area; contribute to adapting to climate change, stabilizing life, and developing the socio-economy of Muong Pon commune.

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung requested units to closely follow the plan, construct according to the design, ensure the quality of the project, contribute to adapting to climate change and sustainable development of residential areas along the stream.
