According to the report of the Provincial Ethnic Committee, in recent times, the direction and implementation of ethnic policies have always received close attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; departments, branches, and localities have focused on coordinating to well perform assigned tasks; proactively reviewed and organized disbursement to ensure the allocated capital for ethnic minority areas, close to the actual needs of the locality. The result of the implementation of the allocated capital in 2024 is more than 480,691 billion VND, including development investment capital and career capital. As of August 31, the whole province has disbursed 39.5% to implement component projects such as: Supporting the solution to the shortage of residential land, production land, and domestic water; investing in essential infrastructure; developing education and training, health care; preserving and promoting cultural values of ethnic minority areas.

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee further clarified the results achieved as well as the causes of difficulties and obstacles in implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in Ninh Thuan ; regarding the comments of the Working Group, the province will absorb and concretize them with highly effective implementation solutions. At the same time, he recommended that the Ethnic Committee advise the Government to increase the support level for housing construction for poor households, add near-poor households who are ethnic minorities to enjoy housing support policies; increase the support level for job conversion; consider supporting health insurance for communes in Region II and Region III; implement policies to promote and improve the lives of Cham ethnic people...

Based on the province's report, the opinions of the members of the Working Group and the departments, branches and localities, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh highly appreciated the direction of the province with synchronous and comprehensive solutions in implementing mechanisms and policies for ethnic minority areas in the province. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested the province to focus on doing a good job of propaganda to the community; closely following the direction of the Central Government, building mechanisms, decentralizing tasks to relevant departments, branches and localities to speed up the disbursement of allocated capital to ensure the right focus and key points and comply with the principles and procedures as prescribed, associated with inspection and supervision to effectively bring the support policy into practice.

Maintain and replicate effective production models, create livelihoods, help people stabilize their lives, and escape poverty. Focus on training and improving the quality of professional activities for officials in charge of ethnic affairs; take care to build a team of prestigious people in the community, contributing to the effective implementation of ethnic policies in the locality.

For the province's recommendations, the Ethnic Committee will receive and submit them to competent authorities for consideration and appropriate adjustments.
