Delegation of Yen Bai province offers incense at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province

CTTĐT - On April 12, in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province, a delegation of Yen Bai province led by comrade Vu Quynh Khanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, offered incense and commemorated 64 soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy who heroically sacrificed their lives in the battle to protect Gac Ma island on March 14, 1988. This was a meaningful activity, opening the delegation's journey to visit the people and soldiers of Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the delegates of the Working Group respectfully lit incense sticks to commemorate the nation's outstanding sons - the soldiers who fell in an indomitable posture, hand in hand protecting the national flag amidst enemy bullets, affirming Vietnam's sacred sovereignty over the sea and islands.

The Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area was built on an area of ​​2.5 hectares, is a national cultural and spiritual work, symbolizing the indomitable will and immortal patriotism of the Vietnamese people. The monument cluster "Immortal Circle" is a testament to the indomitable fighting spirit of the Navy soldiers in 1988.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited the exhibition area in the memorial area. Here, members were introduced to the fighting circumstances, the heroic sacrifices of the soldiers, as well as the construction process and significance of the Memorial.

This activity is not only a tribute to those who sacrificed, but also an opportunity toeducate the younger generation about patriotism, courage and the spirit of sacrifice for the Fatherland. Thereby, fostering revolutionary ideals, gratitude to previous generations, arousing national pride and a sense of responsibility in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Immediately after the incense offering ceremony, the Yen Bai Provincial Delegation set out to visit the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district and DK1 Platform - carrying the deep sentiments of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups of Yen Bai province to the frontline of the Fatherland.
