Delegation of Khanh Hoa province visits comrade Khamtay Siphandone

On the afternoon of April 4, Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee led a delegation of Khanh Hoa province to the Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City to pay tribute to comrade Khamtay Siphandone - former Chairman of the Central Party Committee, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang visited comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

Writing in the condolence book, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Hoang expressed: "We deeply regret the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, veteran revolutionary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. The leaders and people of Vietnam, including Khanh Hoa province, have lost a close comrade, a loyal and devoted friend, who made great contributions to cultivating and consolidating the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the people of Khanh Hoa province, I sincerely send my deepest condolences to the Party, State and people of all ethnic groups of Laos and the family of comrade Khamtay Siphandone. I hope that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the people of all ethnic groups of Laos and the family of comrade Khamtay Siphandone will soon overcome this pain." With this great loss and pain, we continue to build, protect and develop the country.

Comrade Khamtay Siphandone is one of the first generation core leaders of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, who led and directed the previous national democratic revolution and the cause of protecting and developing the country, and was also a pioneer in organizing and implementing the Party's comprehensive and principled renovation policy.

Throughout his life, Comrade Khamtay Siphandone devoted his intelligence and strength to the revolutionary cause of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, to the development of the country and to the prosperous and happy life of the Lao people. As a great and close friend of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, together with President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, President Souphanouvong and the leaders of the two countries, laid a solid foundation and devoted himself to cultivating the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos into an exemplary, loyal and pure relationship that is rare in the world, summarized in two verses of President Ho Chi Minh: "Vietnam and Laos, our two countries/Our love is deeper than the waters of the Red River and the Mekong River".
