The National Road 9 Martyrs’ Cemetery is located next to Highway 9, the resting place of more than 9,500 heroic martyrs from the main force, local troops, militia and guerrillas, and youth volunteers who fought and served on the Road 9 front and in Laos during the resistance war against the US. There are 212 graves of martyrs from Quang Ninh.

Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery was started on October 24, 1975, completed on April 10, 1977, with a total area of ​​140,000 m2, located in Vinh Truong commune, Gio Linh district (Quang Tri). Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery gathers 10,333 graves of martyrs, of which 81 are martyrs from Quang Ninh.

During our people's resistance war against the US to save the country, Quang Tri Citadel has recorded in the history of the nation a shining milestone of revolutionary heroism, with the heroic and resilient fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri Town during 81 historic days and nights. The fiery summer of 1972 of our army and people, contributed significantly to the victory at the Paris conference table, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.
