The monitoring delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province worked with Phuoc Vinh commune.

Phuoc Vinh achieved the NTM standard in 2016. Through preliminary review and assessment according to the NTM commune criteria for the period 2021-2025, as of August 2024, Phuoc Vinh achieved 16/19 criteria, of which 3 criteria were not met: cultural facilities, multidimensional poverty and labor. The total capital mobilized and integrated programs to build NTM from 2023-2024 is over 20 billion VND. Basically, rural infrastructure continues to receive investment attention, maintenance, and gradually meets the prescribed standards; many effective models in production, cultural - social life, national defense and security continue to be responded to and replicated by the people; the role of the people continues to be enhanced. Currently, the commune has achieved 10/19 advanced NTM criteria; striving to reach the advanced NTM commune standards by 2025.

The representative of the monitoring delegation suggested that in the coming time, Phuoc Vinh commune should strive to maintain the quality of the achieved criteria, and review and update documents related to the content of the set of criteria for building new rural areas, especially the criteria that have not been achieved. Further strengthen the leadership role and enhance the responsibility of the Steering Committee for building new rural areas in the commune in managing and implementing criteria on the environment, training rural workers and creating jobs; promote the role of the Front and local mass organizations in propagating and mobilizing people to raise awareness among the people to build new rural areas together, towards advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. Along with that, local Party committees and authorities need to proactively coordinate with departments, branches and sectors in implementing advanced new rural criteria. Depending on the capacity and potential of the commune, there should be appropriate solutions in implementing the criteria that have not been achieved. If there are any difficulties or problems, they should be reported to the Steering Committee for building new rural areas at a higher level for timely resolution.
