Government Youth Union summarizes Youth Month 2025

(Chinhphu.vn) - On April 18, the Standing Committee of the Government Youth Union held a conference to summarize Youth Month 2025. The Youth Union of the Government Office was awarded a Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing Youth Month 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam said that 2025 is a year of many political events of special significance, marking a turning point in the cause of national construction and development. It is a key period for the entire Party, people and army to concentrate highly, promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity, in order to develop the country into a new era - the era of national development, towards the goal of making Vietnam a developed, high-income country with a socialist orientation by 2045.

Mr. Lai Xuan Lam praised the efforts, attempts and excellent results that the Youth Union at all levels and the Government Youth Union members achieved during the past Youth Month. These achievements not only demonstrate the pioneering and creative role of the youth but also affirm the important position of the Government Youth Union in carrying out political tasks and its important role in the whole society.

To further promote the strength, solidarity and creativity of the youth, Mr. Lai Xuan Lam suggested that the Government Youth Union focus on a number of specific key tasks: Continue to do betterin educating and fostering revolutionary beliefs and ideals for the youth. Promote the spirit of initiative and creativity in contributing ideas to the draft documents of the Party Congresses at all levels, the 1st Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.

At the same time, focus on organizing activities, building youth works and projects, and emulation movements that are vibrant, in-depth, and have a wide-reaching impact towards welcoming Party Congresses at all levels and celebrating major holidays and important events of the country.

Youth Union chapters at all levels in the Government need to pay special attention to the work of building and consolidating the Youth Union organization, actively participating in building and protecting the Party and the political system. Continue to promote the campaign " Youth Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam " to create sources and introduce outstanding Youth Union members for the Party to consider admitting, prepare a source of Youth Union cadres to supplement and introduce to join the Party Committee on the occasion of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Continue to promote the spirit of volunteering for the community, linking social security activities with major government programs, such as eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and planting trees towards the NetZero goal by 2050. The Youth Union maintains and expands the "3-link" model, strengthens coordination with organizations and localities to create valuable youth projects and tasks with strong influence.

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Government Youth Union Bui Hoang Tung said that the Government Youth Union was established on March 6, 2025. This is the result of the process of merging most of the Youth Union units under the Youth Union of Central Agencies and the Youth Union of Central Enterprises, aiming to build a unified Youth Union organization, suitable for the organizational structure, functions, tasks and specific activities of the Government in the current period.

With the theme "Government Youth is proud and firmly believes in the Party", competing to welcome the success of Party Congresses at all levels towards the first Government Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, thousands of diverse and creative activities have been deployed across all Youth Union bases. The activities have created a strong ripple effect, clearly demonstrating the pioneering role of youth in realizing the major orientations of the Party, Government and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

In addition to the advantages of the attention and close direction of the comrades in the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee; the initiative and enthusiasm of the Youth Union staff; our Youth Union organization also faces many difficulties in the coordination and connection of forces due to its new establishment, differences in location, professional fields and urgent implementation time of activities. However, in these difficulties, the mettle and spirit of solidarity and creativity of the Government's youth are further affirmed. Each activity, each initiative, each volunteer step marks the tireless efforts of young people who carry within them the fire of aspiration to serve the Fatherland.

Highlights of Youth Month 2025

Firstly, the Government Youth Union has implemented many youth projects and tasks with practical significance to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030 such as: "National Flag Road", "Green Tree Road", projects Community activity and children's playground in remote areas...

Second, the Government Youth Union has actively implemented the policy of "3 links" - linking forces, linking localities, linking communities - in volunteer activities, social security activities for the community with thousands of gifts, necessities and school supplies given to policy beneficiaries and children in difficult circumstances.

Third, the Government Youth Union successfully organized important events such as the Ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Government Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Launching emulation to welcome Party Congresses at all levels towards the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030; Successfully organizing the Government Youth Sports Festival in 2025.

Fourthly, the Government Youth Union has successfully completed 6 key targets of Youth Month 2025, including: 258 new party members were admitted from 320 outstanding members; 417 topics and initiatives were applied in production and business, policy consulting and scientific research; 200 youth projects; 58 houses of gratitude and charity were supported to build; 11,500 new trees were planted towards the NetZero 2050 goal and 8 billion VND was deployed for social security activities and volunteering for the community.
