Speaking at the event, Mr. Stève Gentili, President of the International Affairs Department of FFA, emphasized that Vietnam has made positive contributions and holds an important position in the Francophone Community. Thanks to Vietnam's efforts to successfully organize the Francophone Summit in Hanoi, the Francophone bloc has developed in the direction of economic cooperation among its members. With 87 member countries, the Francophone Community has become an organization with far-reaching influence, creating many cooperation and business opportunities for businesses of all countries.
"French businesses have faith in Vietnam's economic development. But what I am particularly interested in is that three French companies highly appreciate Vietnam's training of young human resources as well as the country's focus on developing other values," said Mr. Gentili.
Mr. Gentili also said that in the context of many fluctuations in the world economy, the steady development of Vietnam's economy, with quality human resources, will be the strengths to attract French enterprises to invest in cooperation in processing and production.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang affirmed that the Vietnam-France bilateral partnership has reached a historic milestone with the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership during the official visit to France by General Secretary andPresident To Lam in October 2024. And with the upcoming visit to Vietnam by French President Emmanuel Macron, the two sides will have much room to continue cooperation and development, especially in the fields of green economy, innovation, cultural industry and high technology.
Introducing the business and investment environment in Vietnam, Investment Counselor Dao Quoc Cuong, (Vietnamese Embassy in France), emphasized that up to now, France is implementing 708 projects in Vietnam. On that basis, Vietnam actively creates an open and transparent investment environment so that French enterprises can feel secure in investing stably and long-term.
"We are currently facing great opportunities for administrative reform, reform of investment procedures, from merging domestic agencies to the planned merger of provinces and cities. The goal is to streamline and simplify administrative procedures for foreign investors, including France. France is a traditional investor who always seeks transparency and clarity in their investments. And they are seeing trust from Vietnam" - Mr. Dao Quoc Cuong said.
Sharing about the potential for cooperation with Vietnam, Mr. Philippe Lépinay, Director of International Affairs of Thales Group, the world's leading group in developing defense, aviation and space technology, said that Thales Group will accompany the French President on his upcoming visit to Vietnam and is researching to expand the areas where the two countries can jointly produce.
"With the growing France-Vietnam relationship and the skills you have, from technology to business, I believe we can do great things together. And I look forward to that," said Mr. Philippe Lépinay.

Through the discussion, French businesses unanimously agreed that with strategic advantages such as a good investment environment or highly skilled labor, Vietnam is a potential destination for many companies and corporations in the coming time with the desire to strengthen cooperation, especially in new fields such as green energy, clean energy or semiconductors.
