As of September 30, 2023, there were 881,229 enterprises in production and business nationwide, an increase of 26,871 enterprises. In the first 9 months of this year, the number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market reached 165,240 enterprises, an increase of 1.2% over the same period in 2022. The Ministry of Planning and Investment assessed: The production and business performance of enterprises in the state and non-state sectors both grew, maintaining a good contribution to the state budget; investment and business confidence continued to be strengthened; enterprises in a number of key industries showed positive signs of recovery, contributing positively to exports and national economic growth. In the face of difficulties, enterprises have proactively innovated, caught up with trends, participated in new economic sectors to create new values and new driving forces for economic growth. In order to create conditions for businesses to overcome difficulties, recover and develop, the Government, central ministries, branches and localities have stepped up to improve the business investment environment and strengthen the implementation of policies to support businesses in recovery, adaptation and development; resolutely remove difficulties, restore the market for businesses in a number of industries and fields affected by the epidemic, unblock capital sources for production and business activities, share the cost burden with businesses...
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the Vietnamese business community - those who play an important role, actively contributing to the socio-economic development and the industrialization and modernization of the country. The Prime Minister affirmed: Vietnamese businessmen are not only good at economic development but also rich in cultural identity with the tradition of mutual love, helping each other, sharing responsibilities and benefits with the community.
To help businesses overcome difficulties and continue to develop, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Government will persistently implement three strategic breakthroughs: institutional breakthrough, human resource breakthrough, administrative reform and infrastructure breakthrough to create a favorable development space for businesses to invest, produce and do business effectively and sustainably. The Government will have an action program with many solutions to work with businesses and entrepreneurs to develop in the right direction; focusing on maintaining macroeconomic stability, ensuring political security, social order and safety; creating an environment for cooperation and development with other countries. Continue to improve the investment and business environment, enhance national competitiveness, build a digital economy, digital government, and digital citizens to support businesses. Remove difficulties and bottlenecks, especially in terms of investment resources, promote the strong development of various types of markets to ensure healthiness and meet the development requirements of businesses and entrepreneurs. The Government directed ministries, branches and localities to review enterprises' difficulties and have plans to promptly resolve them; promote disbursement of public investment capital to contribute to creating a foundation to attract development resources; encourage domestic enterprises to develop innovation and participate in global supply chains and value chains...
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on the business community and enterprises with aspirations to reach regional and international levels to promote dynamism and creativity, and strengthen cooperation with each other to create international competitiveness. Proactively innovate and restructure the development model towards a circular economy, green economy, and digital economy; expand markets, diversify supply chains, and promote business ethics. Business associations should promote their role in supporting businesses, acting as a bridge between businesses and the government for the goal of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
