This is an ancient, unique stilt house, over 100 years old and preserving many cultural and architectural values of the Tay ethnic group.
The stilt house was started and built from 1899-1903. The house is made of precious wood, 8.5m wide, 23m long, 3 rooms and all walls are made of wood. In 1934, the house was reinforced and 6 more adjacent rooms were built, becoming the unique 9-room architecture as it is today.
With an area of 400m2 , the house frame consists of more than 100 wooden columns, of which 40 main columns are 9m high. The wooden column system is connected through mortise holes to the rafters and crossbeams. The roof is covered with traditional yin-yang tiles.
There are no partitions between the rooms in the stilt house, creating a large living space inside the house. The upper floor is still the family's living space, and the lower floor is where the farming tools are kept.
