Knowing about this unique cafe through photos on social networks, the midday wandering trip from the city center to the rice fields in the suburbs brought Nhat Linh (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) experiences beyond expectations.
"The space here makes me feel really familiar, I remember the years of my childhood running after the threshing machine to jump over the straw piles. I remember the fragrant smell of new rice when passing by the fields of rice being dried by the villagers on the village road.
Sometimes taking a trip to the suburbs to return to simple, familiar things is also quite wonderful. In particular, to get here, I went through many small alleys in the village, saw the women sitting at the entrance of the village chatting in the afternoon light, it was really peaceful, completely different from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city," Nhat Linh shared.
This destination is a favorite choice for young people to check-in.
As an explorer, Ms. Pham Ngoc Tram Anh (owner) is very impressed with the coffee shop models in the middle of rice fields in Bali, Thailand or in Vietnam, Hoi An and Can Tho.
By chance, cycling with her family through the rice fields of Phuong Ban village in the sunset afternoon, Ms. Tram Anh was immediately captivated by the scenery there and decided to share this charming scene with everyone. From there, the idea for a coffee shop in the middle of the rice fields was born.
On a rice field of about 1,800 square meters in the middle of the village's fields, this coffee shop is simply 5 huts covered with palm leaves, without air conditioning or refrigeration, but completely in harmony with nature.

The age of the cafe is not measured by years but by rice seasons. These rice fields are mainly grown by local people to serve their family's needs. Up to now, this unique cafe has gone through three rice seasons.
The landscape around the restaurant changes with each rice crop of the Phuong Ban people. From the flood season, the whole field sparkles like a mirror to the young rice season, the ripe rice season.
Late May and early June is when the rice fields gradually turn from yellow to green and the harvest season begins. If you are lucky enough to come to the restaurant on harvest day, you will experience harvesting rice with the locals and freely inhale the fragrant aroma of rice.
With a space close to nature, this unique cafe is a favorite destination for many families on weekends.
Amidst the vast space of layers of green rice and ripe rice ready for harvest, this poetic scene seems to bring Quynh Nga (Dong Da district, Hanoi) back to her childhood with the gentle scent of rice.
"I came here on the recommendation of a friend. When I got here, I found this space to be wonderful and comfortable. The restaurant was quite crowded, but the arrangement of each hut far apart, the wooden paths in the middle of the field still created enough space for me to relax.
In addition to being a "healing" space for the soul, this is also an impressive check-in spot with the cool green color of rice, the sunset here is also wonderful," Quynh Nga shared.
