Aiming to build social housing apartments with prices around 16-17 million VND/m2

At the working session with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center on May 12, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested this unit to urgently start construction of 2 resettlement areas in Phuoc Tan ward (49 hectares) and Tam Phuoc ward (31.5 hectares), Bien Hoa city to arrange resettlement accommodation for people whose land was recovered to implement the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project and some other upcoming projects such as urban railways and elevated roads.

In addition, the Department of Construction is studying and proposing the best locations in these two resettlement areas to implement social housing apartment projects to meet the housing needs of households whose land is recovered but do not meet resettlement conditions, and housing for civil servants, public employees, workers and people. In the future, when the National Assembly's resolution on piloting a special mechanism for developing social housing is passed, the province will carry out the appointment of contractors for social housing projects. The priority criteria for contractors are capacity, experience, construction time, etc. The province's target is to set the selling price of social housing in these apartments at about 16-17 million VND/ ^m2 .
