On the evening of May 9, the management board of the Cot Dien Quan fried bread chain announced that it had decided to permanently suspend operations at the Thai Binh facility, "because it did not comply with regulations and food hygiene and safety requirements, and did not closely manage employees during the preservation of ingredients."
The incident has caused serious consequences, affecting customers and reputation.

According to the management board of the pan bread chain, the pate used for pan bread is the frozen type, only taken out of the freezer when used, cut and fried. This ingredient is imported from the main system.
The brand explained that the reason customers discovered maggots crawling in the pate could be because "the pate preservation process at the Thai Binh facility did not meet regulations, causing the pate to spoil."
Immediately after the incident, this unit called to apologize to 3 customers.
This banh mi chao chain admitted that the mistake was not only due to the facility's fault, but also the system's fault for not closely and regularly monitoring the facilities in the province.
"We have notified all facilities in the system, requesting a review of hygiene activities and personnel management, and sent supervisors to inspect all facilities again to avoid similar incidents," said the management board of the banh mi chao chain.
