Vietnam 3 matches unbeaten
On the afternoon of May 11, the Vietnamese women's futsal team faced the Iranian women's futsal team in the final match of Group B - the final round of the 2025 Asian women's futsal tournament. The Iranian women's futsal team is the defending champion and is considered a strong candidate for the highest position in this year's tournament. Currently, the Iranian women's futsal team is ranked 9th in the world and 2nd in Asia. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese women's futsal team is ranked 11th in the world and 4th in Asia.
Before this match, the Iranian women's futsal team and the Vietnamese women's futsal team had both qualified for the quarterfinals. Both teams had won two previous matches, each with 6 points. Therefore, both coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and the Iranian "captain" fielded a lineup that was not their strongest, thereby creating conditions for players who played less to play.
