In the final round of the women's 100m event taking place tonight (May 28), Tran Thi Nhi Yen will compete with very strong athletes from other countries. Notably among them are the defending champion Shanti Pereira (Singapore) and Liang Xiaojing (China).

In the final result, Liang Xiaojing finished first with a time of 11 seconds 37. Second place was Shanti Pereira, with a time of 11 seconds 41.

Meanwhile, Tran Thi Nhi Yen finished third with a time of 11 seconds 54. Tran Thi Nhi Yen won the Asian bronze medal.

This is a very impressive achievement for the athletes of the Vietnamese team. The 100m sprint is the most attractive and highly competitive event in athletics competitions around the world .

Even this is not Nhi Yen’s best achievement. At the Asian Youth Athletics Championships last year, Nhi Yen ran 100m in just 11.40 seconds, which is higher than the current silver medal record of Shanti Pereira. If well invested, Nhi Yen has the potential to increase her achievements in the future.

The 2025 Asian Athletics Championships will take place from May 27 to May 31. Nhi Yen's bronze medal is the first medal for the Vietnamese team at this year's tournament.
