Mr. Vu Thanh Binh, Bac Dong 1 village, Gia Cat commune, Cao Loc district, has worked for 31 years in the postal sector and is an active social insurance collector. After retiring from work, from July 2024, Mr. Binh will continue to be a collaborator in collecting and developing social insurance and health insurance participants in the area.
Mr. Binh shared: People in the area mainly work in agriculture , so I often have to take advantage of lunch breaks, evenings or on rainy days when people do not go to work to propagate and disseminate social insurance and health insurance policies to people. In addition, I also advise people participating in compulsory social insurance to participate in voluntary social insurance for relatives, children, etc. From July 2024 to now, I have developed nearly 30 subjects participating in self-paid social insurance and health insurance.
Not only Mr. Binh, other tax collectors and collaborators in the province are always actively promoting and encouraging people to participate in voluntary social insurance and health insurance. Currently, the whole province has 516 tax collectors and 176 collaborators with 225 collection points.
Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Head of the Department of Collection Management - Books, Cards, Social Insurance of the province said: The collection staff and collection collaborators are active propagandists, not afraid of difficulties to bring social insurance and health insurance policies to households. When propagating, they are always enthusiastic, open, thoroughly explaining people's questions, "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every subject" to propagate, mobilize, and advise so that people understand and participate, contributing to bringing social insurance and health insurance policies into life.
In order to improve the capacity of communication and consulting for the staff and collaborators collecting social insurance, in recent times, the provincial Social Insurance has regularly paid attention to training knowledge, communication skills, and professional procedures for collecting social insurance and health insurance for this team. From 2024 to present, the provincial Social Insurance has organized 1 training course on communication skills, customer care and developing voluntary social insurance and health insurance participants for 88 postal collection service staff; 2 training courses for collection agents for postal collection service organizations with 39 participants...
Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Director of Bac Son District Social Insurance, said: The district currently has 31 employees and collaborators collecting social insurance with 18 collection points in communes and towns. Every year, we send employees and collaborators to attend training courses and training conferences of the provincial Social Insurance to improve their communication and consulting skills. In addition, every year if there are new collection employees, the District Post Office will organize training and guidance for new collection employees on communication skills, consulting, collection procedures, etc.
Thanks to the active propaganda of the staff and collaborators, the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance and self-paid health insurance in the province is increasing day by day, contributing to the implementation of the targets set by the provincial Social Insurance. By the end of March 2025, the system of collection agents in the whole province together with the social insurance sector staff had developed 14,650 people participating in voluntary social insurance (reaching 79.1% of the plan); 682,832 people participating in health insurance, reaching 94.3% of the plan.
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the collection staff, collection collaborators together with the social insurance sector officers will continue to strengthen propaganda, mobilization, exploitation and development of social insurance and health insurance participants to complete the assigned targets.
