Policy dialogue with women members in Luong Nghia commune

(HG) - The Women's Union of Luong Nghia commune has just organized a policy dialogue conference between the heads of the Party Committee, the government and women's union members in the commune. Attending the conference were Ms. Do Thi Gio, Vice President of the District Women's Union, leaders of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the commune and 50 women's union members in the commune.

At the dialogue, the head of the Party Committee and the government of Luong Nghia commune recorded 6 opinions of women's union members on issues of vocational training, loans, livelihood models, policies and training regimes for women's union members. In addition, women expressed their opinions on how much support is given for voluntary social insurance purchases; and the need for support for women union members who have received vocational training locally but are unemployed to escape poverty sustainably and avoid falling back into poverty.

The opinions of the women's union members were recorded by the local government representatives and they specifically responded to issues within their authority. Through the dialogue, the leaders of the Party Committee and the commune government were able to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the women's union members, thereby promptly resolving the women's recommendations and issuing and implementing policies suitable for the locality.
