Vietnam team captain believes in 3 points
The Vietnamese team will enter the match against Laos at 7 p.m. tomorrow (November 19) at the Laos National Stadium with the goal of 3 points. Do Duy Manh and his teammates need to win to continue chasing Malaysia in the race for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup.
"The match is very important for me personally, as well as the Vietnamese team. All of us will try to concentrate to play well and follow the tactics set out by the coaching staff.
Not only Manh but all of his players and teammates are very ready. Whoever has the opportunity will definitely have to try their best to get a good result," Duy Manh shared.

Duy Manh has spent a decade playing for the Vietnamese national team, with 70 appearances in all competitions. The 1996-born midfielder was given the captain's armband by coach Kim Sang-sik at the 2024 AFF Cup. As captain, Duy Manh and his teammates won the Southeast Asian championship after a 6-year wait. After that, he continued to be the trusted leader of the team's executive committee.
"The goal of Manh as well as all the teammates and the coaching staff is to win the match against Laos," Duy Manh confidently emphasized.

Lao captain worried
On the other side of the battle line, captain Bounphachan Bounkong of Laos also affirmed that he clearly understood the strengths and weaknesses of the Vietnamese team to come up with countermeasures.
"This is an important match because we have to face a strong team. The Vietnamese team is strong and has good speed. We know clearly that their strength is speed. In tomorrow's match, we will try our best.
My personal goal is to play as well as I can and boost the team's morale. Regardless of the opponent, it's a big home game," Bounkong said.
The captain of the Laos team is worried that the pressure from Vietnamese fans in the Lao stands will put pressure on many of his teammates. "There are a lot of Vietnamese fans, I don't want my teammates to be pressured. I want everyone to play their own style, without being too stressed. Hopefully we will have a good match," Bounkong concluded.
