Vietnamese team wins international robot competition for primary school students

GRG held for the first time, attracting 250 teams from 6 countries

The Global Robotics Games (GRG) 2023 international robotics competition for primary school students has just concluded in Singapore. This is the first tournament organized by Developing Innovative Youth in collaboration with the Singapore Government 's Science Centre, attracting 250 teams from 6 countries.

This year's competition is themed "Building robotic solutions to help develop sustainable learning environments." Teams from different countries are able to research, contribute ideas, and create solutions related to the topic.

Competing with teams from Singapore, India, China, Sri Lanka, Dubai, the Vietnamese representative teams excellently achieved 3 very high rankings. Among them, the representative from Thai Binh Duong High School (Can Tho) won the championship, the Wellspring Hanoi 05 team from Wellspring Hanoi High School won the first prize and the second prize belonged to the Eureka B0.05 team from Eureka Center - Hue.

The remaining Vietnamese teams from Thai Binh Duong High School (Can Tho); Wellspring Hanoi High School; HSRL Center; Eureka Center - Hue and Ngo Gia Tu Primary School (Hai Phong) were in the top 10 teams with the highest scores in the competition.

In addition to prizes, trophies and medals, participating teams also receive certificates of merit certified by the Science Centre under the Singapore Ministry of Education. This is a great advantage for students, aiming to become global citizens, especially in their journey of learning and researching STEM robotics.

Vietnamese teams exchange with friends in other countries

Young people are brave when competing abroad.

GRG is one of the few international STEM Robotics competitions that caters to the 4 to 10 year old age group.

In Vietnam, the competition is part of the ROBOTACON 2023 tournament series organized by the Embassy of Denmark in collaboration with Viet Tinh Anh - LEGO Education, with the support of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong, Hai Phong City Youth Union...
