The workshop received many in-depth discussions from experts, scientists, and experienced managers contributing their opinions on tasks and solutions in developing green and sustainable agriculture and forestry; assessing the current situation and solutions for forest management, protection and development, especially breakthrough tasks and solutions to create momentum for sustainable forest development in the coming period.

The workshop focused on assessing current land policies and laws on forestry land management and use and directions for amendment, supplementation and improvement; mechanisms and policies to create motivation to promote and improve the effectiveness of forest management, protection and development, policies on payment for forest environmental services and solutions for sustainable development of forest environmental services in the coming time; tasks and specific and feasible solutions in ensuring social security for people in forested areas, especially ensuring livelihoods for ethnic minorities in the locality in the spirit of Resolution 23 of the Politburo and Directive 13 of the Secretariat....

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Comrade Tran Tuan Anh, Head of the Central Economic Commission, acknowledged and highly appreciated the scientific presentations at the workshop. He hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive attention, cooperation, sharing, and professional contributions from scientists, organizations, and individuals in the fields of agricultural and forestry economics.

The results achieved in the workshop will be the basis for ministries, departments, branches and relevant agencies to continue to develop the agricultural and forestry economy in Vietnam more effectively. At the same time, it will contribute to the review of 5 years of implementing Directive No. 13-CT/TW, dated January 12, 2017 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in forest management, protection and development in the coming time.
