Accompanying and connecting workers in Japan

During the journey of thousands of kilometers, the delegation of the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City brought not only greetings and encouragement but also the warmth of the homeland to the children working and studying in Japan. Simple meetings at the train station, in the factory or among the hurried crowd became the connecting thread, adding motivation for the workers to be more steadfast.

Motivate workers

Departing early in the morning, when the capital Tokyo had not yet woken up, the delegation of the Department of Internal Affairs traveled more than 500km by subway to meet, visit and encourage Ms. Duong Thi Len (from Lanh Ngoc commune) who is working in Nagoya province.

Right after work, Ms. Len took the bus to the train station with excitement and a little worry. The group had to change trains many times and travel a long distance, so they were inevitably tired, but when they found her at the train station, their emotions were overwhelming.

In a small corner of the train station in a foreign land, the lively conversation, filled with questions about work, life..., brought the warmth of home to the child far away from home.

Ms. Len shared: “I have been working here for more than 3 years. It was a bit difficult at first, but now it is very stable. I never thought I would meet a delegation from my hometown in a faraway place like this. I am really touched and feel warmed, feeling cared for and not alone on my journey to work in Japan.”

One of the important stops of the Department of Internal Affairs during the working trip was Musashino Food Corporation, headquartered in Saitama City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan's leading enterprise in the field of industrial meal processing. With a modern production scale, Musashino still puts the human factor first, considering it the decisive factor in quality and brand reputation.

Therefore, this group attracts many young, capable and professional workers. The working group had to make a great effort to arrange a meeting with 12 young workers from Da Nang city who are working here, most of whom come from rural midland and mountainous areas.

The meeting was short but filled with joy. The faces beamed as they talked about their work on the modern assembly line, where they contribute to creating millions of meals every day, proving a stable life, enough to cover expenses and save for the future.

Mr. Phan Thai Viet (Nong Son commune) shared: “I have been studying and working at Musashino for more than a year. Here, I have learned many things from Japanese working culture: respecting time, doing my best at work, not losing focus and affecting the group. This is the professional style that we need to have. After returning home, these experiences will definitely be very helpful.”

Ms. Vo Thi Thu Phuong (from Thang Binh commune) has been involved in the cake processing at this factory for more than three years, and expressed her emotions: "Having state officials from my hometown come to visit and encourage us is the motivation for us to try harder. It's been a long time since I've had the chance to meet each other, and to meet them right at the factory like this is really touching."

According to information at the meeting, most workers at Musashino have stable incomes, safe working conditions, and good living conditions. Many have paid off their initial loans and are saving more for the future.

Wide open opportunities for young workers

Mr. Duong Hai Chien, Deputy General Director of Musashino Holdings General Affairs Department, highly appreciated the capacity of young Vietnamese workers in general and Da Nang in particular: “The opportunities for young people in Japan are huge, especially skilled workers. They not only complete their work but are also trusted to lead their teams, increase their income and position. The important thing is to persevere, set further goals and build a good image of Vietnamese people abroad.”

Currently, there are many businesses connecting and cooperating with businesses sending Da Nang workers to Japan to study and work, notably Tinphat Group, IPM Financial Group, Suleco Company, Musashino Hai Dang... implementing training and selecting labor resources in the fields of health, agriculture , services, and processing labor in industrial parks and other facilities.

Suleco Company's office in Japan alone receives thousands of Vietnamese interns and workers to study and work in Japan. In 2025, the company's office will recruit 600 workers to work in industrial parks and prestigious facilities in Japanese provinces and cities. From 2021 to now, Da Nang has had more than 5,500 young people come to study and work in Japan, with good working conditions and stable income.

Not only stopping at exporting labor, the journey of studying and working in Japan is also an opportunity for young people to accumulate experience, practice professional style, and prepare solid luggage for the day of returning to contribute to building the homeland.

In an energetic space, young, ambitious faces, studying while working, quickly integrating into Japanese culture, have affirmed their right choice, a generation of workers not only looking for income, but also with the desire to rise up, integrate and mature.
