Strong acceleration thanks to effective promotion strategy

According to data from the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 7 months of 2024, the total number of visitors staying in the city is estimated at 6.6 million, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 2.5 million, an increase of 34.7%, and domestic visitors are estimated at 4.2 million, an increase of 31.9%. This growth is not accidental but is the result of a well-planned tourism promotion and advertising strategy, with smooth coordination between government agencies, businesses and the community.

In particular, the expansion of direct international flights from key markets such as China, Indonesia, India, Japan and Australia has facilitated easier access for international tourists to Da Nang. In addition, Da Nang has also increased promotion through welcoming famtrip groups, participating in international fairs and promoting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.

Special events and festivals attract tourists

One of the highlights attracting international and domestic tourists to Da Nang is a series of cultural events and festivals held on a large scale from the first half of 2024. Notable among them is the program "Da Nang Enjoy Festival 2024" taking place on a grand scale, with an impressive and vibrant music space, imbued with the optimistic spirit of Da Nang people. The program also brings the Sky Drone show combined with special performances appearing for the first time in Da Nang, attracting hundreds of local people as well as domestic and foreign tourists to attend.
