According to the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, through the review of relevant units and communes and wards on mobile signal depressions in the province, it shows that, in addition to 25 signal depressions that require the construction of new transmission stations, there are still many weak signal points in the province.
The Ministry of Science and Technology requires that all areas with signal dips must be cleared before October 2025. Therefore, telecommunications businesses need to review, re-measure and ensure coverage for areas with signal dips according to the set roadmap.
At the meeting, representatives of telecommunications companies shared the implementation roadmap; pointed out some difficulties and obstacles in the process of building broadcasting stations in areas without infrastructure. For locations with existing infrastructure, telecommunications companies said they would adjust broadcasting capacity to ensure coverage meets requirements.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Minh Quang said: The Department will work with businesses and localities in the province to review areas with low signal strength. The Department will record and summarize the difficulties of businesses to work with relevant departments and branches to unify and advise the Provincial People's Committee on plans to remove bottlenecks, deploy appropriate solutions, ensure regulations to ensure telecommunications infrastructure in the province, especially in difficult areas such as ethnic minority areas, border areas, remote areas, etc.
