Dong Nai proposes to reorganize the Department of Foreign Affairs after merging Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces.

At the working session, among the contents reported to the provincial leaders related to the review and arrangement of headquarters and working facilities, the Department of Finance proposed to reorganize the operating model of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, the Department of Home Affairs is currently developing a project to reorganize the Department of Foreign Affairs under the People's Committee of Dong Nai province on the basis of merging the Department of Foreign Affairs of Binh Phuoc province and the former Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province (merged into the Office of the Provincial People's Committee). After the reorganization, the expected number of staff of the unit is about 27 people. At the same time, it is proposed to arrange the Department of Foreign Affairs after the merger at the headquarters of the former Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province currently managed and used by the Office of the Provincial People's Committee at 7 Vo Thi Sau, Trung Dung ward, Bien Hoa city.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung requested the Department of Finance to complete the plan and advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the issues raised.

Previously, at the end of February 2025, the Provincial People's Committee announced the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on organizational restructuring, including the resolution to merge the Department of Foreign Affairs into the Office of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.
