Dong Nai: Unusually heavy rain causes many places in Long Khanh ward to be deeply flooded

Heavy rain from the night of November 11 to the morning of November 12 in Long Khanh ward (Dong Nai province) caused many areas to be deeply flooded, including some residential areas. Local forces are urgently helping people overcome the consequences of the flood.

According to the People's Committee of Long Khanh Ward, prolonged heavy rain has caused localized flooding in many low-lying areas in the ward, especially the Airport Dam area (behind Hoang Long Company). Heavy and prolonged rain has caused a lot of water from upstream to flow in, causing the water level to rise rapidly.

The Agricultural Service Center is regulating water in the dam area to ensure safety for the dam body and downstream, so there is temporary flooding in some stream sections...

To cope with the unusual weather, Long Khanh Ward People's Committee has coordinated with Truc Anh Cooperative and Quarter 21 to clean up trash and clear the flow of streams, especially the sections with bridges, to ensure smooth drainage. Contact the Agricultural Service Center to reasonably regulate the amount of discharged water, both ensuring safety upstream and downstream, and minimizing the impact on residential areas.

The security team of Bau Tram residential area was assigned to be on duty at the flooded area, ready to support people, guide traffic and handle any bad situations promptly. The militia and self-defense force of the ward's Military Command is actively supporting the people in Bau Tram residential area.

The People's Committee of Long Khanh Ward has also advised people to limit movement through flooded areas during times of high water; proactively monitor warning information from local authorities; coordinate and support the ward in ensuring environmental sanitation, not littering in streams, ditches, and drainage pipes.
