Dong Nai organizes a mass wedding for 9 worker couples

On December 27, the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Women's Union and Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union to organize a collective wedding ceremony for 9 worker couples in the area.

This is the first time Dong Nai has organized a mass wedding for union members and workers of the province.

According to the Dong Nai Province Labor Federation, the couples attending this mass wedding are workers far from home in difficult circumstances. They have registered to get married but have not been able to hold a wedding ceremony due to many reasons such as economic difficulties, the pandemic, raising young children...

Therefore, couples always want to have an official wedding in front of relatives and friends. 9 couples of brides and grooms in the mass wedding were supported with wedding photography, wedding costumes, makeup, and wedding flowers.

The entire wedding expenses were sponsored by the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation. In addition, the philanthropist also sponsored wedding rings, ao dai, etc. for the couples at the wedding ceremony.

As one of 9 couples in the mass wedding, Ms. Thanh Thao (worker at Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, Bien Hoa city) said that she and her husband are both workers from other places who came to Dong Nai to work and live.

Due to difficult circumstances, even though they have been married for 5 years, they have not yet held a wedding. So when the Dong Nai Province Labor Federation planned to hold a mass wedding, the couple immediately registered to participate.

"We are very grateful and happy," said Ms. Thao, adding that she will try harder to build family happiness, so as not to disappoint the expectations of the agencies and units sponsoring the mass wedding.

Attending the wedding ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - President of Dong Nai Province Labor Federation - sent her best wishes to the 9 couples in the mass wedding.

Ms. Y emphasized that this wedding will be a special mark for the workers, clearly demonstrating a civilized and economical wedding model, honoring the traditional cultural beauty of the nation.

At the special wedding of 9 couples, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh gave each couple a gift worth 5 million VND. Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation and trade unions at all levels also sent gifts to congratulate the couples.
