In the announcement about purchasing uniforms at the beginning of each school year of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, student uniforms are part of the school's brand identity and the pride of students, while also aiming for uniformity when participating in seminars, conferences, and activities organized by the school and faculty. Accordingly, the school's student uniform is a T-shirt priced at 125,000 VND/piece.

Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City has a compulsory gym uniform for 2nd and 3rd year students when studying physical education . The cost of a set is about 180,000 - 190,000 VND for the whole course. In addition, polo shirts are not compulsory uniforms, but according to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the School's Admissions and Communications Department, this shirt is dynamic and youthful, so 100% of students buy it, priced at 120,000 VND/piece. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has uniforms to wear when there are events and activities that require a common color and gym uniforms to wear when studying physical education subjects. When new students complete the admission procedures, the school will give them 2 school uniforms and a gym shirt.

According to Master Cao Quang Tu, the purpose of university student uniforms is to express the identity of each school, the pride and unity of students in a collective, community. Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Communication Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that the school's student uniforms are designed to be neat, comfortable, easy to move in but still polite. In addition, there are specific departments of the school that also have their own uniforms to create a professional style, express the color and unique mark of the profession.

Regarding the use of uniforms in universities, Nguyen Duy Kien, a student majoring in mechatronics at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, commented: "I think the current uniform regulations at universities are appropriate. For example, on formal occasions such as opening ceremonies, graduations, or at events that involve recognition such as cheering for football matches, extracurricular activities, charity events, etc. That shows the spirit of collective unity, pride, and individual identity.

Similarly, Nguyen Bao Van, a graphic design student at the University of Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City, said: "Uniforms are like the identity of each school, to wear on important occasions or when participating in outside activities. When I wear them, I feel proud."

Many colleges have school uniform regulations.

Cao Thang Technical College requires students to wear a blue uniform, with a name tag on the left chest and the school logo on the left sleeve. According to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade, students must wear uniforms on Mondays and Thursdays every week; when doing internships, business activities; and participating in other school activities. Vien Dong College also requires students to wear a uniform of a white shirt, long pants past the ankle, long skirts past the knee (for women), and gym uniforms when studying physical education.

Other colleges also have regulations on uniforms when coming to school and participating in other activities.

Quoc Trung, a student majoring in automotive engineering at Cao Thang Technical College, said: "At first, I felt that having to wear a uniform to school every day was a bit like a high school student, but after a while, I found it reasonable. Because when entering the school, it looks very orderly, all students are equal, there is no such thing as messy dressing or one person being more stylish than another. Moreover, this also ensures security in the school."
