(NLDO) - Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan believes that Dich Vong Secondary School will help students develop their abilities, nurture their dreams and aspirations to contribute.

On November 8 in Hanoi , Dich Vong Secondary School held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1955 - 2025) and received the Third Class Labor Medal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan expressed his emotion when returning to his old school after many years. The Deputy Minister sent his congratulations and gratitude to generations of teachers who have contributed to the tradition of studiousness and discipline and responsibility of the school.

Deputy Minister Le Quan shared that during his years studying at Dich Vong School, he and his classmates received the love and dedication of teachers, were educated about personality, ethics and nurtured their dreams. Today, being back at school is a great joy.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Deputy Minister acknowledged and congratulated the outstanding achievements that Dich Vong Secondary School has achieved during 70 years of construction and development.

During the resistance war against the US, hundreds of students enlisted in the army, of which 48 former students heroically sacrificed their lives, leaving their youth on the battlefield. In the early years of national reunification, the school was honored to be chosen as a point of international educational cooperation, signing agreements with Sweden and Germany. The school was also affectionately called "Bac Ly of Hanoi" by the people of the capital, a symbol of the tradition of studiousness.

From this school, tens of thousands of students have grown up, many of whom have become leaders, scientists, doctors, engineers, artists, businessmen, etc., contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
