Dong Thap approves construction zoning plan for Cao Lanh III Industrial Park

Recently, at the 3rd session (Special Session), the People's Council of Dong Thap province, term X, 2021 - 2026, passed many important Resolutions; including the Resolution approving the zoning plan for the construction of Cao Lanh III Industrial Park, Dong Thap province.

Accordingly, the planning project research area is the area along National Highway 30, in Binh Hang Trung commune (the commune area after the administrative unit arrangement), Dong Thap province.

The planning area is 94 hectares. The boundaries are as follows: North borders Binh Hang Trung Market; South borders Cai Nho River; East borders the current residential area of National Highway 30; West borders Tien River. Planning scale 1/2,000.

The planning objective is to specify the development orientations of industrial parks (IPs) according to the Dong Thap Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Investing in the construction of modern IPs with synchronous infrastructure, reasonable functional zoning, attracting secondary investment projects to IPs. Maximizing land fund for industrial development and linking industrial enterprises and surrounding residential areas into a complete infrastructure network, supporting and promoting each other for development.

At the same time, it serves as a basis for land management, construction management, detailed planning implementation and construction investment project establishment; creates favorable conditions to attract investment, contributes to promoting industrialization, economic restructuring, creates jobs for people, and develops the regional socio-economy.

Regarding the nature of the Industrial Park, this is a multi-industry Industrial Park with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure, environmental protection, sustainable development; focusing on attracting investment to develop industries with high technology and engineering content, precision mechanics, production and assembly of electrical, electronic, telecommunications, pharmaceutical equipment, essential oil extraction, goods preservation, deep processing industries, serving the agricultural product chain of the province and the region.

In particular, priority is given to developing the fields of logistics services, ports, warehouse systems, construction of factories for rent, logistics to serve logistics and create development links with Cao Lanh Industrial Park - Urban - Service, Cao Lanh Industrial Park II and neighboring areas.

The selection of priority investment industries in Cao Lanh III Industrial Park must be suitable to the advantages of geographical location, road and waterway traffic connection and must be interconnected and similar to some industries operating in neighboring Industrial Parks, in order to maximize the functions of the Industrial Park and be consistent with the orientation of main industries and fields.

According to forecasts, Cao Lanh III Industrial Park attracts about 2,100 workers.

Dong Thap Provincial People's Council assigned the Provincial People's Committee to organize the implementation of this Resolution.
