In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Thap province have led, directed, and synchronously deployed, achieving many important results in the Project on organizing forces, training, operating, and ensuring regimes and policies for the militia and self-defense force in accordance with the motto "strong, widespread", high combat readiness, meeting mission requirements, and being the core force in building the all-people national defense.

Notably, 100% of the Military Commands at the commune and ward levels have been established; there are 61 Military Commands of provincial-level organizations; the total number of militia and self-defense forces in the province reaches 0.8% of the population; the rate of party members reaches more than 46% (exceeding the assigned target by 3.14%); 100% of military Party cells at the commune and ward levels have Party Committees; 100% of the Commanders of the Military Commands at the commune and ward levels have intermediate-level military training or higher (57.9% have university or college degrees)...

Concluding the conference, comrade Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requested that military agencies at all levels advise Party committees and authorities to continue to develop, deploy and implement the Project on organizing forces, training, operations, ensuring regimes and policies for militia and self-defense forces in the period of 2025 - 2030 in accordance with regulations, suitable for each locality and each defense area.

At the same time, strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities on local military and defense work, build disciplined and disciplined units, clean and strong military cells in all aspects, build a militia and self-defense force that ensures quantity, has high political quality, and is strong in all aspects, together with forces that firmly protect the achievements of the revolution, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation...
