The focus of the Division is to build discipline and implement a strict, synchronous and effective training process. Education and dissemination of training tasks and combat readiness are carried out regularly, making officers and soldiers deeply aware that training is a central political task.

The Division has directed the comprehensive innovation of training content, programs, and methods, closely following the target, location, and tasks. Along with that, agencies and units have focused on innovating training forms, drills, competitions, and sports events, updating the development of modern warfare, and applying them appropriately to the unit's training requirements and tasks.

Implementing Resolution 1659-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on "Improving training quality for the 2023-2030 period", the Division focuses on directing the effective implementation of the "3 realities" model in training (realistic in content, real in time, real in results).

Along with that, the Division directed the innovation of political education work associated with the implementation of the Emulation Movement for Victory, improving the quality of training and combat readiness. Many creative models and methods were effectively implemented, such as "Training young officers", "Model units for training regulations, building regulations, and managing discipline". The signing of emulation agreements, identifying breakthroughs and implementing the construction of model units were carried out closely, creating a vibrant, self-conscious, and practical competitive atmosphere in each unit.

During the training process, the Division especially focused on directing innovation in training content, organization, and methods, enhancing the application of science and technology, and digital transformation in command, management, and training operations.

Soldiers are trained to master weapons and technical equipment, especially new equipment; are good at independent combat as well as joint operations with other troops and branches; and are capable of rapid mobility and effective combat in all terrain and weather conditions.

The Division focuses on training to improve mobility on all types of terrain, especially coastal areas; practicing heavy-duty marching, high intensity, night mobility, field training, situational training, close to combat plans, and organization.

Training inspection and evaluation work is maintained seriously and substantially; weak points are promptly pointed out and overcome, ensuring that training is solid to the point.

The Division maintains combat readiness seriously and in accordance with regulations. Command duty, shift duty, combat duty, and professional duty regimes are fully and synchronously implemented; the system of plans, documents, and combat strategies is built and practiced closely and realistically, ensuring readiness for mobility and flexible handling in all situations.

The Division combines improving the quality of training with building discipline and managing discipline. The unit maintains order and effectiveness in daily and weekly regimes; all soldiers must work according to their duties, act according to regulations, and have a civilized, disciplined, and strict military lifestyle. The model of training regulations, building discipline, and managing discipline at the 88th Infantry Regiment (Division 302) has been effectively deployed and replicated throughout the Division. Thanks to that, for many consecutive years, the Division has not had any serious violations and has been recognized as a "model, typical" comprehensively strong unit.

The Division ensures adequate logistics and technical support for training and combat readiness; upgrades training grounds and training grounds; and effectively maintains the emulation movement "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings". The Division directs the promotion of production and production, contributing to improving the lives and health care of soldiers.

Technical work is carried out seriously and synchronously; ensuring the full, timely and safe supply of weapons, equipment and means for training and combat readiness. Effectively implementing the Campaign "Managing and exploiting weapons and technical equipment well, durably, safely, economically and in traffic safety", contributing to maintaining the technical coefficient of all types of weapons and equipment.

With the spirit of initiative, creativity, solidarity, and high determination, as a result, 100% of the officers in the Division have been trained according to the hierarchy; over 81.9% of platoon and company officers and over 91.6% of battalion officers have been trained well and excellently. From the beginning of 2025 up to now, the results of the training inspection of the subjects have been 100% satisfactory, of which 75% are good and excellent. The rate of arranging reserve soldiers into units has reached over 99.9%, with 99.5% of military professionalism, 86.4% of military branches, 10.5% of party members, and 100% of technical equipment guaranteed. The exercises at the regimental, battalion, and company levels have all been good and excellent, with many contents being completed excellently.
