The Thagrico Binh Dinh high-tech grandparent pig breeding farm project in Dai Khoan village, Cat Lam commune, Phu Cat district, invested by Truong Hai Binh Dinh Agricultural Company Limited, has just had its investment policy adjusted by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province.
Accordingly, the total investment capital of the project remains unchanged at 1,850 billion VND, but is divided into 3 phases (phase 1: 227 billion VND, phase 2: 840 billion VND, phase 3: 783 billion VND).
In phase 1 alone, the investor has completed the construction of farm and barn infrastructure; installed equipment for 2,400 parent pigs, completed and put into operation since December 2020.
Along with that, the project was also adjusted to extend the completion time of phase 2 and phase 3.
Specifically, according to the progress approved in Decision No. 1561 dated May 10, 2023 of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, phase 2 from October 2021 to June 2023, the investor will carry out procedures to adjust project investment procedures and related legal procedures to implement construction.
Phase 3, from June 2023 to June 2024, the investor will complete and put the project into operation, raising pigs with a scale of 500 great-grandparent pigs, 5,000 grandparent pigs, 8,000 parent pigs (including 2,400 pigs of phase 1), and 24,000 pigs for meat.
Now, phase 2 of the project has been adjusted to start construction in October 2024; completed and put into operation in January 2025 with a scale of 500 great-grandparent pigs, 5,000 grandparent pigs, 5,600 parent pigs and 24,000 meat pigs.
In phase 3, the investor continues to complete legal procedures and auxiliary works, infrastructure, traffic... to put the entire project into operation for livestock and barns by October 2025.
The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province requested Truong Hai Binh Dinh Agricultural Company Limited to urgently implement the project, ensuring the progress of the project so that it can be completed and put into operation soon. At the same time, the Company needs to develop a plan to invest in a factory processing pork products to increase the value of the project's products.
It is known that this is the fourth adjustment of the project's policy. In the most recent adjustment, the project's land use area was increased from more than 90.4 hectares to more than 116 hectares.
At the same time, the time for completing and putting the project into operation, raising pigsties with a scale of 500 great-grandparent pigs, 5,000 grandparent pigs, 8,000 parent pigs, and 24,000 pigs for meat in June 2023 is adjusted to June 2024.
According to the investigation, the reason for the project adjustment is that on February 29, 2024, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has just issued a decision approving the appraisal results of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report of the Thagrico Binh Dinh High-Tech Grandfather Pig Breeding Farm Project of Truong Hai Binh Dinh Agricultural Company Limited.
According to the decision, the project will increase the breeding capacity from 10,000 breeding pigs (the environmental impact assessment report of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has been approved in Decision No. 4502, dated December 4, 2017) to 13,500 breeding pigs and 24,000 pigs for meat/batch.
In addition, the Project reuses the entire infrastructure of the High-tech Pig Breeding Farm Project with a scale of 10,000 breeding pigs and builds an additional 30 pig houses and pig carcass disposal pits.
