This will help stimulate domestic consumption and promote international integration. The event is identified by the Government as a key activity of the year, expected to create a strong "push" for the economy at the end of the year.

Impressive Opening and National Strategic Vision

On the night of October 25, 2025, at the Vietnam National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ), the Opening Ceremony of the first Autumn Fair took place under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The highest goal of the event is to promote production, business, promote domestic trade and open up export markets, opening a period of deeper integration.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh clearly stated the strategic vision: The first Autumn Fair in 2025 will not only open a new space for connection between businesses, consumers, Vietnam and the world , but also be a place for 'creativity to originate - intelligence to shine - exchange, learn - affirm courage - spread pride'. This statement has elevated the Fair to an economic-cultural forum of national significance and international reach.

The 2025 Autumn Fair is rated by experts as having "6 bests": largest scale, most modern space, most diverse products, highest quality, most attractive activities and best incentive policies. According to the official announcement, the total exhibition area exceeds 130,000 m², divided into 5 thematic zones, attracting about 3,000 booths with the participation of 34 provinces and cities and more than 2,500 domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises.

21st Century Economic Orientation: Trade, Digitalization and Green Economy

The opening ceremony focused on highlighting the Fair's "bridging" role in promoting trade and international integration. The Prime Minister emphasized: "This is a very important economic and cultural event, not only on a national scale, but also reaching international levels; contributing to stimulating domestic consumption, spreading the spirit of 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods', promoting trade, investment and international integration." This event is expected to help Vietnam realize its ambition of building the country into "Asia's leading exhibition center, a destination for international trade fairs". For the business community, this is a golden opportunity to find partners, exchange technology, expand supply chains and boost exports.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) commented: "The Autumn Fair with the '6 most' scale is a testament to the Government's determination in building a modern, sustainable trading platform, harmoniously combining domestic and international markets. The Prime Minister's direct direction sends a strong message about prioritizing domestic market development and global economic integration."

In particular, the development orientation mentioned by the Prime Minister is an important highlight. The fair must be a "bridge" for businesses to receive technology transfer, promote digital economy, green economy, circular economy and sharing economy. The Prime Minister emphasized that the event is an important bridge for Vietnamese businesses to strengthen international economic integration, exchange experiences and receive technology transfer, especially in digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy. This shows that the Autumn Fair 2025 is expanding into an ecosystem connecting production - consumption - innovation - international integration of the 4.0 era.

Stimulating domestic demand and the challenge of sustainable development

In addition to its role in international trade, the Fair also focuses on stimulating domestic consumption and promoting national culture and brands. According to the Organizing Committee, the Fair is not only a major trading venue, but also a space to honor Vietnamese cultural values, connecting the quintessence of production, creativity and integration. People will have the opportunity to experience shopping for "High-quality Vietnamese products" while enjoying unique cultural, culinary and artistic programs.

Bringing traditional hand-embroidered products, bearing the quintessence and culture of Vietnam, to a wide range of domestic consumers and international friends.

From the perspective of a business participating in the Fair, Artisan Le Thi Xuan - Owner of Xuan Nguyen Embroidery Facility expressed her pride: "Participating in such a large-scale and solemn event, I clearly feel great pride in bringing traditional hand-embroidered products, carrying the quintessence and culture of Vietnam, to a large number of domestic consumers and international friends. The Fair is not only a place to sell products but also a reminder of the responsibility to preserve and develop traditional crafts. We are more aware of the need to constantly improve quality and innovate designs to bring Vietnamese handmade products to the world in a sustainable way."

From a business perspective, Mr. Dang Trung Doan - Owner of Dang Gia Agarwood brand (Nha Trang) commented: "The emphasis on green economy, digitalization and circular economic model right at the opening ceremony is a very positive signal. As a business owner participating in the event, I am more aware of the need to take advantage of this opportunity not only to sell products, but also to learn, transfer technology, and change production and business models in a more sustainable direction. The connection between traditional products and 4.0 technology will be the key to improving internal capacity and international competitiveness".

Enterprises are clearly aware of the need to transfer technology and change production and business models in a more sustainable direction.

However, organizing the first event on the scale of "6 most" also poses many challenges, as the Prime Minister has stated, with short preparation time, large workload, high requirements, and large area. These challenges are related to coordination between many ministries and localities, ensuring quality, safety, smooth logistics, as well as effective operations and communication.

According to economic experts, for the Autumn Fair to truly become an annual, sustainable platform that creates strong momentum, there needs to be a long-term plan, aiming for a series of "Four-season Fairs - Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter" as the scenario suggests. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure connectivity in logistics, transportation, accommodation, security and order, and a truly seamless consumer experience. Notably, supporting small businesses and cooperatives to participate, creating favorable conditions for them to access technology and international markets is extremely necessary. Finally, enhancing digitalization, integrating participant experiences with digital applications, big data, and virtual reality experiences, will help the Autumn Fair 2025 become a true "fair of the 4.0 era".

With strategic directions from the Government, the 2025 Autumn Fair has succeeded in creating an important mark, promising a big boost for trade, integration and promoting Vietnam's image to the world.
