Coffee price forecast for tomorrow, April 26, 2025 - the market "slows down".
According to experts, coffee prices are likely to continue to increase sharply both domestically and internationally in the coming time. This is a market trend due to concerns about limited global supply and unfavorable weather in key coffee growing regions around the world. In addition, the continued weakening of the US dollar has supported commodity prices, including coffee.
The increase is largely due to concerns about global supply, especially from Brazil – the world’s largest coffee producer. Brazil’s coffee output is forecast to fall by 5–10% compared to previous estimates due to the impact of drought and extreme weather conditions.
Domestically, farmers tend to hold onto their stocks waiting for higher prices, leading to limited supply. Many analysts believe that if the drought continues and supply does not improve, domestic coffee prices could reach VND150,000/kg in the near future.
However, the new European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), together with climate change and traceability requirements, are putting great pressure on exporting countries, especially Vietnam. With production mainly based on small-scale farmers, Vietnam faces many challenges in meeting the strict standards of the EUDR.
