According to Khaosod, at the end of May, Ben Jacobs - a foreign tourist traveling to Thailand with a friend - rode his bicycle to rest at the Mount Wind Tree cafe in Pak Chong district (Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand).
After buying the drink, the male tourist transferred the payment. However, instead of transferring the correct amount of 221.5 baht (about 175,000 VND), Ben Jacobs mistakenly transferred 22,150 baht (about 17.7 million VND) - about 100 times the amount due.
It is worth mentioning that the owner of the restaurant not only did not keep the unexpectedly large amount of money, but immediately took the initiative to find many ways to contact Ben Jacobs to return the money.

On the restaurant’s Facebook page, the owner posted a message in both English and Thai, calling on the customer to return to claim the money he had mistakenly transferred. The incident quickly attracted the attention of the Thai online community.
Many social media users shared the post, helping to spread the information, hoping to help the restaurant find the customer who mistakenly transferred money.
Shortly after, the restaurant owner said that they had successfully contacted the bank and completed the refund process for Ben Jacobs. They also did not forget to thank the online community for helping to spread the information.
The cafe owner’s actions have warmed the hearts of many. Thai netizens also said they were proud of local businessmen who value integrity over profit.
