The program was attended by more than 200 delegates from embassies, international organizations; a number of central ministries, departments and branches; departments, branches, districts, towns in the city; friendship associations and member organizations of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Ky, on behalf of the Organizing Committee and the people of the capital, sent warm and affectionate feelings and best wishes to the people of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, every April, a number of Asian countries are bustling with the atmosphere of welcoming the traditional New Year according to the Buddhist calendar - a sacred occasion imbued with cultural identity and community solidarity. These Tet holidays are not only a sacred time, but also an opportunity for people to turn to their roots, praying for peace and happiness.
In Vietnam, April also recalls an important historical milestone - the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30. Organizing cultural events during this sacred time not only contributes to strengthening cooperation, but also honors the values of peace , solidarity and friendship.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky expressed his joy at the good development of the relationship between Vietnam and countries in the Asian region. Accordingly, the Vietnamese people in general and the people of Hanoi in particular always respect and appreciate the good feelings, support and valuable help of international friends in the cause of national construction, development and international integration today.
"Hopefully, Hanoi will be a common home of friendship, always opening its doors to welcome international friends. I wish the close and friendly relationship between the people of other countries and the people of Vietnam in general, and the people of Hanoi in particular, will continue to develop," said President of the Union Nguyen Ngoc Ky.
With many rituals and performances imbued with the traditional cultural colors of each country, the program helped Vietnamese friends live in the traditional Tet atmosphere in their homeland.
