Turn Thanh Tuyen Festival into an internationally branded tourism product

Tuyen Quang builds and develops Thanh Tuyen Festival into a tourism product with national and international brands.

2023 is the first year that Tuyen Quang province implements the Project to innovate the organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival in the period 2023 - 2025. The key goal of the project is to build and develop the Festival into a tourism product with national and international brands.

Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong - Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that the highlight of this year's Festival is the Thanh Tuyen Night Festival program organized on a national scale. The Festival has the participation of 6 provinces of Viet Bac, Binh Thuan and localities of 2 countries having cooperative and friendly relations with Tuyen Quang, namely Xieng Khouang province (Laos) and Anseong city, Gyeonggi province (South Korea).

Tuyen Quang has set a goal of building Thanh Tuyen Festival into a unique, distinctive tourism product with a national brand by 2025. The festival aims to introduce the image of the land, people and cultural heritage values ​​of Tuyen Quang, especially the unique historical and cultural values ​​of the revolutionary homeland: "Capital of the liberated zone", "Capital of resistance"; continue to build Thanh Tuyen Festival into a distinctive tourism product.

Up to now, the preparation process for the festival is being urgently completed with a vibrant and colorful atmosphere throughout the streets. In addition, urban beautification, renovation and upgrading of accommodation facilities, food and beverage service businesses, entertainment are being urgently implemented, along with plans to ensure security, safety, food hygiene, etc.

After nearly 20 years of being created, maintained and developed by the people, Thanh Tuyen Festival has been recognized by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records three times: "Mid-Autumn Festival with the largest number of lantern models in Vietnam"; "Largest Mid-Autumn Festival tray in Vietnam"; "Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam".

Following the success of the Tuyen Quang Province Tourism Year 2023 event, in September, Tuyen Quang province will organize the 14th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" Tourism Program and the 2023 Tuyen Thanh Festival. The event will be held from September 20 to 27 in Tuyen Quang city, Tuyen Quang province.

The 14th “Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites” tourism program has the participation of 6 Viet Bac provinces (Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang). The event aims to continue to effectively implement the tourism development linkage program between the above localities in 2023 and the following years.

The promotion of the potential and strengths of tourism in the Viet Bac region through the organization of cultural and tourism events of regional scale, linked and integrated with a series of events in localities has been enhanced, aiming to attract tourists, travel businesses, and investors to exploit and develop tourism, contributing to promoting tourism in the Viet Bac provinces to be competitive domestically and internationally.

The opening ceremony of the 14th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" Tourism Program in Tuyen Quang and the Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023 will take place from 8:00 p.m. on September 22. With the theme "Sparkling colors of Thanh Tuyen Festival Night" - Thanh Tuyen Festival Night will be the central activity, the highlight of the series of activities within the framework of the Festival.

Within the framework of the 14th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Areas" Tourism Program and the 2023 Thanh Tuyen Festival, there are many other special activities such as: Festival of Community Cultural Tourism Villages of 6 Viet Bac provinces held on September 23 in Tuyen Quang City; The program "Cinema - Connecting Heritage and Tourism in Tuyen Quang" taking place for 3 days, from September 21-23, surveying the districts: Son Duong, Chiem Hoa, Na Hang, Lam Binh and Tuyen Quang City.

In addition, there will be the 2023 Tuyen Quang Trade and Tourism Fair taking place from September 20 to 27; the program "Displaying and introducing the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine" and the 2023 Hanoi Beer Festival taking place from September 22 to 24; sports activities and many response activities of districts and cities in the province.
