At the meeting, Mr. Phan Anh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, briefly informed about the 13th Vietnam-China People's Forum held on November 24 in Hanoi .
With the theme "75 years of Vietnam-China friendship - Building a solid people's foundation," this year's Forum revolves around four groups of content including 75 years of Vietnam-China friendship; national governance models and perspectives; economic -trade-investment cooperation and education-science-technology cooperation; thereby enhancing political understanding and trust, consolidating a solid social foundation, highly appreciated by the leaders of the two countries, becoming an important foreign relations foundation between the people of the two countries.
Thanking the warm welcome from Vietnam, Mr. Sun Xueqing, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Head of the Chinese delegation attending the Forum, said: 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, and is also the year of China-Vietnam humanities exchange. During this important time, the Chinese delegation is honored to receive the invitation to Vietnam from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
"The friendship between China and Vietnam is very deep. We are both comrades and brothers, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers. What makes us deeply moved is that the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries always cherish the friendship between the two peoples, attach great importance to people-to-people exchange work, and directly direct and promote cooperation as well as people-to-people exchange between the two sides," Mr. Ton Hoc Khanh emphasized.
General Secretary and President Xi Jinping once said: "The foundation of China-Vietnam friendship is the people, its bloodline is the people, and its strength also comes from the people." This is also the common perception of the leaders of the two Parties and the two States. The top leaders of the two Parties and the two States always cherish the friendship between the two peoples; attach importance to people-to-people exchange work and directly direct the promotion of cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two sides.

In recent years, the leaders of the two Parties and States have maintained regular contact and visited each other. During their State visits, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary To Lam both took time to meet with friendly personalities and youth representatives of the two countries.
This China-Vietnam People's Forum is an important mechanism project stated in the China-Vietnam Joint Statement, receiving special attention from the leaders of the two Parties and the two States. Since its inception in 2010, the Forum has been held 13 times. In previous forums, the leaders of the two countries have cordially met with the delegates and paid attention to giving directions for the forum.
The theme of this forum is "75 years of Vietnam-China friendship - Building a solid people's foundation" to contribute to consolidating the foundation of people's consensus. This is also the consistent goal that the China Friendship Association has always persistently pursued. The Association will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, history and noble mission, effectively implement the "16 words" motto and the "4 goods" spirit; closely coordinate with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations to jointly implement common programs proposed by the leaders of the two countries, contributing to promoting and deepening the relationship between the two organizations in particular, as well as the people of the two countries in general.
On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai sent to the delegates attending the Vietnam-China People's Forum respectful and warm greetings and sincere thanks for their important contributions to the Vietnam-China solidarity and friendship in recent times.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, the organization of the Forum takes place at the right time when the two countries are having practical activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and especially there are many active activities to implement the common perception between the leaders of the two Parties and two States regarding the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
At the 3 discussion sessions at the Forum, delegates and scholars had discussions to deepen the theme of 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China, especially issues of concern to both countries such as: theoretical issues, national governance, economic development cooperation, trade, investment, science and technology...
Through the Forum, delegates proposed solutions and mechanisms to promote the effectiveness of people-to-people exchange and people-to-people diplomacy, making an important contribution to the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China as comrades and brothers.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized: The recommendations and proposals of the delegates attending the forum will be listened to and accepted by the functional agencies, Party and State leaders of the two countries to bring the traditional friendship between the two countries in general and the people-to-people relations between the two countries to a new height.

Sharing the emotion of the delegates attending the Forum when visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed: This is an opportunity for the two countries to recall the traditional and friendly relationship between Vietnam and China, both comrades and brothers, the motto "16 words" and the spirit of "4 goods" that were painstakingly built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong through generations of revolutionaries and people of the two countries.
Particularly recently, through the high-level visits of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary To Lam to China and the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam with many high-level delegations, bilateral cooperation, diplomatic activities and people-to-people exchanges have been increasingly strengthened, especially the education activities on the traditional friendship of "both comrades and brothers" between China and Vietnam, "mountains connecting mountains, rivers connecting rivers" have been passed down through generations, especially to the younger generation.
This is of great concern to General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, and in the 2026 foreign affairs program, the Fatherland Front bloc has a red journey program to help the young generation have the opportunity to experience and study the history of the two countries.
Expressing sincere thanks to the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations for their very important and great contributions to building and developing the solidarity, traditional and friendly relationship between Vietnam and China, contributing to the effective operation and promotion of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that people's diplomacy is one of the three pillars identified by the Party and State of Vietnam for Vietnam's diplomacy; believing that the delegates will fulfill their tasks well, continuing to be a bridge between the people of Vietnam and China to make it increasingly close./.
