Duc Trong: Groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for veterans in difficult circumstances

Representatives of the Political Department of the Army Academy, leaders of the Commune People's Committee and the Veterans Association presented money to support the construction of a house for Mr. Minh's family.

Mr. Dang Van Minh, a soldier who has completed his service and returned to his hometown, is currently enjoying the 62 regime and is an active member of the Ninh Gia Commune Veterans Association. His family is facing many difficulties as his wife unfortunately had a traffic accident and lost her ability to work. The family's current house is seriously degraded, with a low floor, leaky roof and rotten wooden walls, making life extremely difficult.

Understanding the difficult situation, the Political Department of the Army Academy supported 80 million VND, along with a contribution of 70 million VND from the family, to build a new, more spacious house for Mr. Minh's family. The total estimated cost for the project is 150 million VND.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Dang Van Minh expressed his deep gratitude for the attention and support of the Political Department of the Army Academy and the local government. He shared: "This has been my family's wish for a long time, but we have not been able to realize it. Thanks to this support, my family will have a stable home and more motivation to develop the economy ." He also promised to always comply with local regulations, actively work and produce, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

The representative of Ninh Gia commune affirmed that the People's Committee of the commune will closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and commune organizations, and the People's Committee of Hiep Thuan village to support and supervise the construction process, ensuring that the house is completed on schedule, with quality and safety, expected before July 27, 2025.

The representative of the Political Department of the Army Academy emphasized that supporting the cost of building a house for Mr. Dang Van Minh's family is a noble gesture, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the unit towards the people in the twinned area. This action contributes to building solidarity between the army and the people, while actively responding to the campaign "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" and the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune.
