Duong Minh Ninh is gentle and kind.

"No words can describe my feelings after hearing about coach Duong Minh Ninh's passing yesterday. His passing makes me feel very sad," coach Park Hang Seo wrote on his social media account.

After hearing the news of the death of 3 members of HAGL Club yesterday afternoon (August 12), the Korean coach called his assistants in Vietnam to inquire about the situation and send condolences to the mountain town team. This morning, Mr. Park continued to express his thoughts to coach Duong Minh Ninh, his former assistant.

Mr. Duong Minh Ninh used to be an assistant to coach Park Hang Seo in the Vietnam national team.

"Ninh was a gentle and kind person. He was willing to help everyone and always remained humble. He helped me a lot when I was working for the Vietnam National Team. I was honored to work with such a colleague. Rest in peace, Ninh!" , the former head coach of the Vietnam National Team wrote.

Coach Duong Minh Ninh used to work in the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team under coach Nguyen Huu Thang, then Park Hang Seo. He has been with the HAGL club for more than 20 years, contributing to the training of the first batch of HAGL - Arsenal - JMG players with typical faces such as Nguyen Cong Phuong, Luong Xuan Truong, Nguyen Tuan Anh.

In the 2017 V-League season, Mr. Duong Minh Ninh was appointed as the head coach of HAGL. After that, he resigned and returned to the role of assistant - deputy coach.

The accident that killed 3 members of HAGL Club happened at around 3:00 p.m. on August 12 on National Highway 14, passing through Ia Hru Commune, Chu Puh District, Gia Lai. At that time, a car carrying 4 members of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club was on its way from Buon Ma Thuot City ( Dak Lak ) to Pleiku (Gia Lai) when it got into an accident, the car was sandwiched between the front of 2 trucks.

Coach Duong Minh Ninh was one of the three victims who died, along with doctor Dao Trong Tri and player Paollo Madeira Oliveira. The funeral of the three members of HAGL Club was held by their families today (August 13).
