This year is not only a successful season, but also a particularly important milestone: marking 10 years of IRONMAN presence in Vietnam, and at the same time acknowledging BIM Group's 4 consecutive years of bringing the global sports brand to Phu Quoc, starting with the 5150 Triathlon in 2022 and continuing with 3 impressive IRONMAN 70.3 seasons.
Vietnamese businesses bring international sporting events to Pearl Island
Since 2022, when BIM Group decided to accompany Sunrise Events Vietnam to bring IRONMAN to Phu Quoc, the group has clearly defined its direction: developing endurance sports as a pillar of its CSR strategy, while promoting destination branding, increasing tourism revenue and elevating Vietnam's image on the international sports map.

After just three seasons, Phu Quoc has quickly become the “new holy land” of the Asian IRONMAN community. The number of Vietnamese athletes participating increased by nearly 25% compared to 2024, while the number of international athletes continued to expand significantly - a testament to the island’s attractiveness, professional organization, and increasingly complete tourism and sports infrastructure.
Mr. Doan Quoc Huy - Chairman and General Director of BIM Group commented: "This is not simply a sports tournament, but a journey to spread the spirit of going beyond limits and sustainable development - the core values that BIM Group pursues."
An inspiring season: The champion retains the throne, the legend returns to the track
On this year's race track, emotional moments created a colorful picture: Athletes Kenshin Mizushima (Japan) and Ling Er Choo (Singapore) continued to lead the men's and women's rankings, affirming their position in the Asian A-List group.

What is special is that the legendary Mark Allen, 6-time IRONMAN World Championship champion, unexpectedly returned after nearly 30 years, participating in the relay swimming competition - bringing a special moment to the Vietnamese IRONMAN community.

“Golden swimmer” Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, trying triathlon for the first time, made a strong impression when she continuously achieved high rankings at SUNRISE SPRINT Vietnam and the IRONMAN 70.3 relay event.

The energy from the audience, the professional quality, and the inspirational faces contributed to creating a complete season, closing the decade of IRONMAN in Vietnam with a strong and united spirit.
IRONMAN - a lever for economic development, tourism and image of Phu Quoc
Not only contributing to the sports movement, IRONMAN has brought clear value to Phu Quoc - from increased tourist numbers, vibrant commercial activities, to the image of the Pearl Island appearing on the international sporting event map.
Mr. Tran Nguyen Ba - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province - commented: "BIM Group IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc is a typical international sporting event, contributing to positioning Phu Quoc as a prestigious tourism - service - sports center. We will continue to accompany BIM Group and the Organizing Committee on this development journey."
These records show that the event not only has movement value, but also creates real impact on the local economy, tourism human resources, and destination reputation.
Phu Quoc Marina - the new "capital" of endurance sports events
The biggest advantage of IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc lies in its venue: Phu Quoc Marina, a tourism and entertainment complex developed by BIM Land, a member of BIM Group. With a long coastline, complete infrastructure and an international hotel and entertainment ecosystem, Phu Quoc Marina has all the conditions to become the center of major endurance sports events in the region.
Here, the IRONMAN 2025 Village has attracted tens of thousands of athletes, families and tourists with a series of multi-generational activities: IRONKIDS Phu Quoc, SUNRISE SPRINT Vietnam, Newborns Vietnam Run Out, Marina Bazaar, offering experiential activities and interactions with local culture.
The week-long sports and tourism festival atmosphere at Phu Quoc Marina has contributed to strengthening the area's position as the region's leading experience destination.
Opening a new decade for Vietnamese endurance sports
Representative of the organizing unit Sunrise Events Vietnam, Mr. Rob Zamacona, shared: “The 10-year journey of IRONMAN in Vietnam has come to a complete end in Phu Quoc, opening up a promising future for the endurance sports community. Phu Quoc will go even further.”
With a vision of sustainable development, combining sports - tourism - community, BIM Group is gradually turning international tournaments into "brand assets" of the island, contributing to spreading the spirit of healthy, civilized and dynamic living.
