Determining 34 teams that have qualified for the 2026 World Cup

(Dan Tri) - After last night's matches, FIFA has confirmed two more teams that have qualified for the 2026 World Cup, France and the Netherlands. Thus, the 34 teams that have already qualified for the tournament in the US, Canada and Mexico have been determined.

Before the final round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers took place last night, Germany only needed a draw against Slovakia at home in Leipzig to qualify. However, coach Julian Nagelsmann's team did better than that.

It seems that the loss to Slovakia in the first leg made Germany highly determined to "take revenge". They excellently destroyed their opponents with a score of 6-0 with goals from Woltemade, Gnabry, Sane (2 goals), Baku and Ouedraogo.

This victory helped Germany win a ticket to the 2026 World Cup when it topped Group A with 15 points, 3 points more than Slovakia.

The CONCACAF (North America and the Caribbean) region has no confirmed representatives, except for the three host teams: the US, Canada and Mexico. After tomorrow morning's matches (November 19), the regional qualifying round will end. The top three teams will officially qualify for the 2026 World Cup, while the two-thirds of the best second-placed teams will qualify for the Intercontinental Play-offs.

The 2026 World Cup will have a total of 48 participating teams, of which Asia has 8 direct slots and 1 play-in slot; Europe has 16 slots; Africa has 9 direct slots and 1 play-in slot; South America has 6 direct slots and 1 play-in slot; North, Central and South America and the Caribbean have 6 direct slots (including 3 co-host teams USA, Canada, Mexico) and 2 play-in slots; Oceania has 1 direct slot and 1 play-in slot.
