It seems that the loss to Slovakia in the first leg made Germany highly determined to "take revenge". They excellently destroyed their opponents with a score of 6-0 with goals from Woltemade, Gnabry, Sane (2 goals), Baku and Ouedraogo.
This victory helped Germany win a ticket to the 2026 World Cup when it topped Group A with 15 points, 3 points more than Slovakia.
Similar to Germany, the Netherlands only needed a draw in their match against Lithuania to complete their mission. However, the “Orange Storm” did better with a 4-0 victory. They finished top of Group G with 20 points, 3 more than Poland.
Europe has already confirmed 7 places to attend the 2026 World Cup: Croatia, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal. After tonight's match, the remaining 5 official places of the Old Continent will be determined. In addition, 4 places to participate through the play-off round will be determined in March next year.

The top three teams will officially qualify for the 2026 World Cup, while the two-thirds of the best second-placed teams will qualify for the Intercontinental Play-offs.
