With a large scale and a month-long organization period, Hai Phong Book Street 2025 is expected to bring diverse experiences to people, students, and tourists inside and outside the city.
Not only a place to display and sell books, the book street is also a vibrant cultural space, where a series of attractive activities take place such as: author and reader exchanges, new book introductions, thematic discussions, creative playgrounds for children, and weekend art activities.
One of the highlights of the event is the extremely rich space for displaying and introducing books. 16 booths of 15 prestigious publishers and distributors nationwide such as Alpha Books, Fahasa, Tien Tho bookstore, Kim Dong publishing house, Thai Ha Books, Minh Long, Dan Tri, Hang Hai publishing house,... will introduce to readers nearly 10,000 books of many genres.

Ms. Bui Thi Nguyet Nga, Director of Hai Phong City Museum and Library, said that the displayed book genres range from children's books, social science books, natural science books, history-geography books, literature-art books to books on thinking development, life skills, inspiration, religion, and philosophy. All are sold at preferential prices, to encourage readers to access knowledge more easily.
In particular, many famous books, loved by readers and classic works from home and abroad will be present at the event. Big names such as Lev Tolstoy (War and Peace , Anna Karenina), Victor Hugo (Les Miserables, Notre Dame de Paris), Hector Malot (Sans Famille), Jules Verne (A Thousand Leagues Under the Sea), Kuroyanagi Tetsuko (Totto-chan by the Window)... and familiar Vietnamese writers such as To Hoai (The Adventures of a Cricket), Nguyen Nhat Anh (Blue Eyes, Give Me a Ticket to Childhood), Tran Dang Khoa, Doan Gioi, Minh Niem, Thich Nhat Hanh,... will be present on the shelves at the book street.
In addition, new publications and books that are creating a storm in the community will also be introduced and sold directly, helping readers quickly access modern publishing trends.

Taking place from April 19 to May 20 at Kim Dong flower garden - one of the beautiful and culturally valuable locations in the city center, Hai Phong Book Street will be the opening event for a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), the 2025 Red Flamboyant Festival and celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).
