Ericsson continues to lead global 5G network infrastructure

Ericsson continues to be ranked as “the leader” in Frost Radar™’s 5G Network Infrastructure Market 2023 report for the third consecutive year.

According to the annual report of business consultancy Frost & Sullivan, maintaining the highest ranking in the Frost Radar report over the years demonstrates Ericsson's steady expansion of innovation capabilities and growth in this area. This result also further confirms Ericsson's leading position in the 5G network infrastructure market, including radio access networks (RAN), transport networks and core networks. Ericsson has also achieved significant recognition for developing energy-efficient 5G RAN solutions that meet customer needs.

Ericsson now delivers and operates 145 active 5G networks in 63 countries, the highest level Frost & Sullivan has ever seen in public reports.

“As a market leader in 4G network infrastructure, Ericsson enters the 5G market with a large customer base. The company has done a great job of retaining existing customers and growing new customers,” said Morley.

The Frost Radar report independently evaluates companies that are making a significant impact on the market in a specific industry. The Innovation and Growth score is used to assess a company’s focus on continuous innovation and its ability to translate that innovation into consistent growth. The report identifies leading companies that stand out from the rest in terms of overall market leadership, market segment leadership, or idea-driven leadership in specific segments.

In March, Ericsson was also named a leader in IT consultancy Gartner's 2023 Magic Quadrant for 5G Network Infrastructure for CSPs.
