EVNGENCO1: Effectively implementing environmental protection work, aiming at the sustainable development goal of Vietnam's electricity industry

(LĐ online) - On May 22-23, at Dai Ninh Hydropower Company (Lam Dong province), the Environmental Protection Training Conference 2025 of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) took place successfully with the participation of 32 officers from 11 member units of the Corporation.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Tai - Deputy Director of Dai Ninh Hydropower Company delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Viet Tai - Deputy Director of Dai Ninh Hydropower Company - the host of the Conference - emphasized the importance of complying with legal regulations on environmental protection in production and business activities. He also affirmed the Company's commitment to implementing environmental protection measures effectively and sustainably.

The conference fully conveyed the contents of environmental protection work including: Regulations on compliance in environmental protection activities for power plants; regulations related to emission monitoring and inventory activities at power plants, with contents on emission monitoring and environmental licenses; emission monitoring and working environment, focusing on continuous and periodic automatic emission monitoring; wastewater monitoring and protection of receiving water sources, including continuous automatic monitoring.

Also at this Conference, officers in charge of environmental protection work at the units discussed and received advice from experts from The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is Ms. Le Thi Lan Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Specialized Inspection, answering practical problems in the process of implementing environmental protection work at the unit.

This is a highlight that many students appreciate when bottlenecks in environmental protection work at the grassroots level are directly resolved with the support of leading experts.

In his closing speech at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thach - Deputy Head of Safety and Environment Department of Power Generation Corporation 1 highly appreciated the close and effective coordination in organizing the class. At the same time, he emphasized that environmental protection is a core and consistent task in the sustainable development orientation of Power Generation Corporation 1.

Through this training course, the environmental team at Power Generation Corporation 1 not only improved their professional skills but also had the opportunity to exchange, learn and strengthen the network between units. This will be a solid foundation for the environmental protection activities of Power Generation Corporation 1 to continue to be effectively implemented, contributing to the goal of sustainable development of the Vietnamese electricity industry.
