Since the beginning of May, EVNNPC has requested Power Companies to urgently develop detailed power supply plans for each examination site, closely coordinate with the Departmentof Education and Training, examination councils and local authorities to update the list of examination locations, including places for printing, grading and reviewing papers - areas requiring safe and continuous power supply at the highest level.
Mr. Vu Anh Phuong, Deputy General Director of the Northern Power Corporation, said: "EVNNPC determined that ensuring electricity for the exam is a particularly important political task. The Corporation has thoroughly implemented the spirit of initiative, not allowing any incident to affect the exam."
Accordingly, EVNNPC has mobilized maximum resources and equipment, prepared plans to supply electricity from 2 grid sources or backup generators at key exam locations. Operation management teams have been strengthened to be on duty and patrol 24/24 hours to be ready to handle any arising situations, ensuring that candidates enter the exam with the most stable mindset.
Up to now, 27 Power Companies under EVNNPC have proactively arranged forces to be on duty at all locations with examination sites, mobilizing maximum human resources, means and equipment, ready to handle any arising situations.
Key areas such as Bac Ninh , Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa... have all completed detailed electricity assurance plans for each exam location.
For areas with high load requirements or potential risks of incidents, EVNNPC directs to strengthen field inspections, measure contact temperatures, handle weak points on the grid, strengthen transformer systems, intermediate stations, low-voltage connectors... to improve power supply reliability.
The suspension of all planned work requiring power outages in areas related to examination sites will also be implemented during the 10th grade entrance exam (usually held in localities from June 1 to 9, 2025, depending on the plan of each province) and the high school graduation exam (from June 25 to 28, 2025), except in special cases to ensure grid safety.
Along with technical work, EVNNPC also directed units to coordinate in organizing incident handling drills, testing automatic transfer switch (ATS) capabilities, testing generator loads, and organizing coordination confirmation signing at each test location, ensuring that all situations are handled quickly and effectively.
With a high sense of responsibility, proactive and thoughtful preparation, EVNNPC commits to ensuring safe - continuous - reliable power supply, contributing to the overall success of the exam, accompanying the education sector and candidates on the journey to conquer knowledge and build the future.
