Arsenal continue to go through a trophyless season.

Early morning of May 8, right after the second leg of the 2024/25 Champions League semi-final between PSG and Arsenal ended, Evra announced on his personal page: "People say I often speak against Arsenal, but actually I love Arsenal. First of all, you can't hate your children, that's impossible."

Many Arsenal fans later expressed their displeasure when the former French player compared their beloved team to the "children" in Evra's family.

The former Manchester United defender then went further when he mocked the London club: "I can't do business with Arsenal fans because they promise a lot, but then they don't achieve anything."

The former Manchester United defender believes Arsenal have once again shown their inexperience in European competition. The former French international has also mocked Arsenal on numerous occasions in the past.

In October 2024, he compared watching Arsenal to watching Netflix: “Every season, you always wait for something new with Arsenal, but they never win anything. It’s boring, like watching seasons of Netflix.”

These comments, although once justified by Evra as a "joke", are clearly provocative, especially in the context of Arsenal continuing to go through a trophyless season.
