Facebook is having an error where strange lines of characters appear where the post time is displayed, causing confusion for many users.
On the morning of December 9, some Facebook users in Vietnam and internationally reported that Facebook had an error with strange lines of characters appearing in the position displaying the time of the post.
The display error issue only occurs with the web version of Facebook, while the mobile app works normally. |
Specifically, all the details about when the content was posted have turned into a long string of characters, meaningless to the average user. However, if you hover your computer cursor over this position, the pop-up content still displays the exact information about the post being posted on the platform.
This display error only appears on the web version and does not occur for all users. The mobile app version still works normally. Although it does not affect the ability to log in or use basic Facebook features, this inconvenience is annoying for many people.
Facebook has yet to make any official comment on the issue. This is not the first time the social media platform has encountered a display issue related to characters.
Facebook has been experiencing some bugs lately, which have affected the user experience. In March, the social network also lost photos in many locations on the account, causing users to worry.
In March, Meta’s platforms also suffered a global outage, with Facebook and Instagram apps becoming inaccessible for more than 60 minutes. Many users were even automatically logged out, leading them to believe their accounts had been hacked.
Previously, this social networking platform has encountered similar technical problems when some accounts reported that their personal pages automatically changed to foreign languages such as Chinese, Indian, Greek, etc.
On online forums, many Facebook users shared that the temporary solution is to delete browsing history, cookies, cache as well as restart the browser. If it cannot be fixed, users can switch to using other browsers before Meta fixes the error.
